Creating records for a subset of related records
Hi folks, I need help with a specific business process that I have configured in TeamDesk. My client wants to streamline it more than how it currently works. I'll try to be as clear as possible, using the real use case terminology (I refer to each table in CAPS, and columns in [Brackets]).
We have GROUPS of GUESTS staying in HOSTS as LODGINGS records.
Every week the client issues one PAYMENT to each HOST for all the LODGINGS from the same GROUP staying in the HOST.
The process currently configured is:
1. A Custom Button in the LODGINGS table allows the user to input payment values for selected LODGINGS using an Update Record Workflow Action: [Pay Rate], [Extras], [Date From], [Date To], [Pay Ref.], etc.

2. They then search for HOSTS with the value of [Pay Ref.] in a Summary column from LODGINGS.

3. With a custom button in HOSTS, they generate PAYMENT records for each HOST found by passing on the values from the LODGING summary columns in the HOST records found set.

They would like to skip the step of searching for HOSTS, and go directly to generate PAYMENT records after inputting payment values in LODGINGS records.

I've tried to configure it using Recordset column for LODGINGS in HOSTS, but I don't know how to filter the Recordset to take only LODGINGS from the same GROUP.
A HOST usually has a couple of LODGINGS from the same GROUP plus LODGINGS from other GROUPS staying simultaneously. I need to select only the couple from GROUP1 and issue a PAYMENT to the HOST for those two GUESTS.

My client is willing to pay for any hours that might require finding a smoother solution than what I have currently configured. If anyone is willing to help, please let me know. Thanks. Luison
