Currently when a Validation Rule condition is met the message presented to the user is somewhat confusing.
It highlights the area that caused the Validation Rule to fail (e.g workflow action) which is great for admin but confusing for the majority of users. This isn't a great user experience.
A better approach would be to only show the user the message and log the reason the Validation Rule condition was met in the error log.
If you look at the screenshot my suggestion is remove the wording in the blue box but have this logged in the error log.
