To have the ability to let the user select between views on the details tab of a record. For instance I might have a graph details view currently in use summed to month level. When the user now clicks on a column of the graph he navigates to the records being summed to month level on the graph. These records are now seen out of context with the master relation. If the user can select to change to the List All view in the details tab and the List View is also grouped to month level he will see how the records contributed to the month grouping and also see it in context with the master record.
