Ability to FREEZE columns in Views
I have a Timeline view that, in some cases, spreads over a couple of months.
Scrolling to the right loses the Label column and therefore, knowing which row you're looking at.

I'd like to be able to freeze the label column and simply scroll the data.

I'm guessing that if we can make a chess board, we should be able to add this function in 😉

Once it was scrolling in IE6, but other browsers did not support that tech. Yet, today's evaluation results look promising. Maybe all we need is just to bring back the code from 2005 )

Is it still possible to bring back that code, for table views? Maybe in the view setup there could be a field to select how many columns to freeze on the left, aside from the Action column. Or even better, under "Columns to display", a "Columns to freeze" section that will list on the left the columns to display with the possibility to select 1 or several columns to freeze them.
