I'm confused about what you are talking about. Normally would just ignore that, but in this case I think I might be missing something. What do you mean when you say "Currently, we can quickly select/deselect users from Access to Views - nice 😃". The only way I currently know how to do this is by going through the views one by one and then access can only be set by Role, not by user. Am I missing something?

Yes...under Views/Reports in setup, there is a Manage Access to Views link. Clicking that will allow you to mass select/deselect roles from accessing views 👍👍

Thanks, I had never really seen that one.
But definitely at role level, not at user level
