The ability to colorize columns is immensely useful but looks a bit tardy compared to the rest TD. Perhaps colorizing the whole field may have a better look.

Sorry, I dont understand, you mean row colorization?
I dont think you can colorize columns in TD, or am i mistaken?
You want to colorize the field instead of a row?

You can colorize the value under advanced options in certain column types
