documenting database
I am wondering if anyone else has some ideas on documenting the database design and schema. Our database is becoming rather huge and complicated.

Its time to start drawing up the schema.. well the time was day one... but does anyone do that? Especially when the company was two people. and 2 database tables...

I have tried several schema tools but they all seem geared to SQL management and are way to complicated. They are actually harder to use than the database is to program!

As a bonus whatever I use, really needs a way to document notes/tasks as i go. I may be adding a field to table one, but there are several cascading tasks.

"add field to report"
"make a rule"
etc.

breaking away to write it elsewhere is distracting.

Any suggestions would be helpful

thank you

I'll be very happy to receive any suggestions about a schema tool, two!!
May be taking away the "schema" from my mind, I'll be able to start sleeping at night...

Thanks!

I have noticed that for a simple database, google charts works pretty good.

Sadly my database has become way beyond simple, we now have hundreds of fields and maybe 30 tables with relations all over the damned place, and plans for more.

Thanks Kirill!!
I'm on my way with "Sea Quail Database Diagram Tool". It should let me plan and see, together with TeamDesk Schema tool, what I'm doing.
Greetings!
