Create a new [Overdue Date] column with Default calculation set to Formula: [Billing Date]
Create a Time-Dependant Trigger with Record Update 6 Days "After" [Overdue Date]: Action----> Assignment: Today() ----> [Overdue Date]
Create an Email Reminder set to 1 Days After [Overdue Date] with required filters as mentioned above...
Should work?
