ability to text
we have the ability to emailnow, it woudl be nice if it allowed us to text the info too

Hi David saw the idea and thought i would mention we use an email to text supplier http://www.24x.com/
i am sure they are many about.
They supply you an email to text account how it works is either
on single record
Create a table called texts. Have a link url to enter the mobile number from your customer or data table to send the text to field and a text field for your message. on save, have the email sent with the mobile number set up as part of the email equation to send the email to .The customer gets a text .this way you get a history of texts sent.
Multi record is in some ways easier. Have a multi button that allows you to change a text field on all records chosen,.again on save all customers get text via email.

It is a matter of setting up emails with formula email address that uses your text account and the mobile number.

Hope that helps took me ages to work it out .

I recently set up SMS sending from a Teamdesk database using a service called Click Send (https://www.clicksend.com/). I had the Teamdesk database send an email to Click Send which forwards it as a text to the recipient's phone number.
