**Given:**

The radius of the cylinder = 14 cm

The height of the cylinder = 21 cm

**Formula used:**

The area of the base of the cylinder or cone = π × (Radius of the base of the cylinder or cone)^{2}

**Calculation:**

Let be assume the radius of the base of the cone is R

⇒ R = 14 cm

⇒ (The area of the base of the cone) : (The area of the base of the cylinder)

⇒ π × (14)^{2} : π × (14)^{2}

⇒ The ratio of their area = 1 : 1

**∴ The required result will be 1 : 1.**
