Add Note (Email)
Hi

We are using Teamdesk as our Customer Support Portal. An invaluable addition would be the ability to reply to an email with the Case Number in the Subject field and a defined email address (addnote@teamdesk.net) and have the system update a particular column within a particular table with the email and timestamp.

This could be used for many examples where emails form the basis of communication.

I agree. A way to track correspondance back and forth via e-mail would be invaluable! Adding an attachement (and the ability to see what was attached) to the e-mails would be great too!

ForeSoft provides the CRMdesk product which does what you are talking about, but for us, we did not want it in a separate database. We developed a solution that posts a parsed email to web-to-record in a given table in our db directly, and also allows us to do the appending you are referring to. It was a significant project.
