ITF-14 Barcode
Hi,
Could we please have ITF-14 Barcodes added to the barcode functionality.

ITF-14
Used to barcode product packaging like cases or cartons. It lends itself well to being printed directly onto low quality material like cardboard, and it encodes the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN).

Then I think you have the full picture!

That would be awesome!

Thank you!

Hello Jonathan

Is ITF-14 standard different from Interleaved 2 of 5 standard which is available in TD ?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interleaved_2_of_5

Kind regards,

Pierre

Pierre is right -- ITF stands for Interleaved Two-of-Five and ITF-14 is a corner case of ITF encoding GTIN codes consisting of exactly 14 digits.

While we do not support ITF-14 directly yet, you can work around it by creating a Barcode column (set Interleaved 2 of 5). It will ensure column's value consists of even number of digits.

Now add the validation rule that will error when the length of the barcode field is not equal to 14 and you'll have ITF-14 by spirit.

Speaking of Bearer Bar (thick black rectangular border around the code) on print with Documents you can simply place barcode field inside the black frame in the document template.
