Run action as another user
A common use case is having to update a related record in a trigger. However, in some of those cases, the user that 'caused' the trigger, doesn't have access to that related record.

For this use case, it would be great if you could specify that an action should 'run as' a different user. For now, the only workaround is a roundtrip through the API, specifying the other 'elevated user' token. Specifying a 'run as' would greatly simplify this setup.

The other way to work around this is to make the change via a Time Dependent trigger which runs as if the database owner were signed on who should have access to all data.

Having said that, I like your idea as there are some instances where I am then waiting a few minutes for the change to happen and would really prefer if it happened straight away.
