Default Filter
Hi,
Where a view has a 'ask the user' filter, there is no data to see at first. Just the blank boxes and 'execute query'

If you want to use this functionality in embedded views it's not very pretty.

Could it be added please

1. Default filter for the view, ie what data is shown when first picking the view
2. Ability to override.wording 'execute query' ... Just 'search' would be more user friendly!

Thanks

PS I understand that they'd have to be a safety net in place so that the default is not 20,000 records! So the default default (!) could be show first 20 records or similar.
Thanks

"Rows to display" already gives that safety net.

As a workaround, which is clumsy and only covers some situations

Have an identical view no filter and then either use the filtering properties of the dashboard or have your view with the filters above the view without the filters. I use this quite often and it works reasonably well.

I have CallCenter applications and it is a very useful functionality to have an initial filter on a specific query.
I understand that you can limit the number of rows, but that initially distorts a dashboard.
I think it's a very good idea.
