Users in DEV branch
Currently when a DEV branch is created only one user remains active. However I find that I have a group of about 5 users I need active in the DEV branch to be able to do testing. While it is not killing me to have to re-activate these every time, it would be nice if I could just set a flag beside users which says "Keep active in DEV branch" or something like that.

Agreed. It's not the end of the world but some of these kinds of "small" functions make using TD even more pleasant.

@Staff

Just spent last week creating and promoting a number of development branches and every time the same thing. Forgot to enable some of the users and my API developer who works remotely from me got cut off. Still not the end of the world, but still would love to see the above idea implemented.

Thanks

Would it help if we'll retain access for users with setup access (or only with Full Access to setup)?

Interesting idea and if it made it a quick fix for you, it would be a start.

Thinking aloud and looking at the users I would always want to have active in the DEV branch, these include some test users with No Access, some of whom are not under my direct supervision, and I don't think I would want to grant them full access to Live or DEV. I suppose if any user who had any access other than "No Access" were active in DEV when it is created then I could give those test users just Manage Users or Manage Data.

So in answer to your question:
- I would still prefer to have a separate way of controlling this
- making it work for users with any access other than No Access would be an acceptable compromise
- making it work only for users with Full Access would not be acceptable

Hope that helps.
Thanks

Added list of users to copy to devbranch while creating one. List is saved and kept through create-promote-create cycle.

Kirill

That is great, thank you very much. If you get a chance it would be great if the drop down list was sorted alphabetically.

Thanks
