Hi Brett

I have a list of US Zip Codes/States/Cities which you can have if that would be useful? I configured to pre populate the State/City when the Zip was entered. It does mean the user has to enter Address Line 1and Address Line 2.

I have used MapQuest (with some help from Kirill) to calculate distances between UK Postcodes and whilst your requirement is somewhat different this might be an option for you to consider? I think the service is free (unlike Google, boo hiss).

I do a calculation with a Formula URL that opens in either Apple Maps or Google Maps that sets the suggested route (directions) - based on Store Location and Customer Address....I don't feed the distance back to TD but could do I guess

I had a similar need. The client wanted time and distance to work locations. They were using a link to open google maps, then manually entered the info. That was not working so well.. When I found out they were doing this. and remembering the new CALL feature in teamdesk...

I used google API to calculate distant, drive time, and show a map with route from the clients office. The process is 100% automated now.

I plan to write a how-to and a sample database for this in the near future. But if you really need it now I can pass it on.

Yes Google API does cost eventually, but the free access limit is so high the client will never hit it.

I considered Google Maps API but I believe the free access you mention was only for external facing websites that are free to the public. That's why I went with MapQuest. I'm sure the Google Maps API is better but at the time it incurred a cost (Premium Plan). Looking at Google I believe it still does?

I wonder what the actual cost is.
In my short search, I found pricing from 10K (insane) to announcements that there is a small business package. But I cannot find any pricing on the small business.

I am betting I can build the same thing with Mapquest.
