Managing Users
I would like to suggest some improvements in the handling of Users. User table in Setup is cumbersome to use when you have 100 - 400+ users.

Suggestions:

1. Ability to Sort data by Role. Or even a filter on role column so you can only see users of a certain role. (Like the new ‘ask user’)

2. Search functionality – Looking for a specific user is difficult in this list. Sometimes I only have the users email address, but the user decided to use a pseudo name / nickname at registration. Finding him in this list (that only shows the User column is impossible.)

3. Add columns – Email address, Name, Last name

4. Mass Delete – Removing 50 users one by one is quite time consuming.

5. Automatically adding user to User Properties table. I know that there are constraints if some fields might be marked as REQUIRED, but I think if that is the case, it simply fails and the ADMIN can then add them manually. It simply takes forever to add 500 users manually as is the case now.

Grouping as well as sorting would help here too

@Jacques as a workaround, I'd recommend you to use "Search for keywords" at top left corner of setup screen to dynamically filter user list by role or other info. Just type part of what you're trying to find without hitting enter. Please note that system will filter any table in setup this way.

To streamline user property creation, I'd recommend you using table import. You may even add new users into your database during that. Please learn more here:

Another Feature that would be useful:
6. The ability to make the system "temporarily unavailable" to all users except the Admin.

When the admin wants perform database maintenance/updates (Ie. Export a table, make changes and import the data back) you do not want users to be actively entering data during that process.

resurrecting this old idea as I also need to bulk delete users from a database I copied.

in addition would be good to
- be able to sort any column e.g. by last accessed descending for a specific role, without having to export it
- show users registered email address (although this is possible via user property table)
