Print view filter/select crieria
For a view configured with filter/select criteria, I'd like the filter/criteria selected and applied to be visible when the view is printed or e-mailed. Possibly they could print at the bottom like "Showing # records" generally does now. Example "Date Created is between 10/1/2008 and 10/15/2008, criteria2, ..."

It would be nice if a report could display (as a heading) the search criteria entered by the user.

Also, when exported to Excel it would be nice if the filename took these values as well.

This is a great idea! Maybe there's a check box when you set up the view (kind of like how you can check whether or not you want the view in the menu) so that you can choose whether the criteria shows up or not. This would be especially helpful for the non-admin (basically our entire staff) so they can catch an error with the criteria I put in. They have to trust that I'm putting in the criteria correctly based on their commissions, pay, bonus', etc. and if it actually showed how I set it up, they could feel rest assured I did it correctly. Perhaps I'm missing something little and am over paying or under paying them.

This idea should be merged with the idea posted by Tira Cole titled "Report Headers." Thanks.

Filtering should be available for all views at all times, not just for printing or emailing. You could add a link similar to the current "Customize columns" link that when clicked, brings up a dialog box with dropdowns for group/sort; ascending/descending order; and By: Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year, etc.

Some way to optionally get that info would be good, yes.

This is a bit old, but, it would help with understanding, if it were an option to include filter information, or not, and have that come out in an export, a print, or a send.

Another thing having a kind of filter legend would do, is to serve to kind of prompt the viewer for any adjustments. If a viewer sees something is filtered for a specific thing, it is a little easier for them to extrapolate to a request: [can you increase the period from one month to two?] or, [can you sort by date closed instead of date updated?] and so on.

Yeah, I agree. A cross post from another idea:
