We’d love your feedback on AI-powered Data Analysis in TeamDesk
Recently we introduced AI-powered Data Analysis in TeamDesk:
https://www.teamdesk.net/blog/whats-new/introducing-ai-powered-data-analysis-for-teamdesk/

We’d like to hear how it works for you and what we can improve.

* In particular, it would be very helpful if you could share your thoughts on:
* Is the Data Analysis feature helpful for you in general?
* Are there any areas where it should work better or functionality you feel is missing?
* How would you prefer to control access for your end users – by role or by particular user?
* Is the "Copy" button in the discussion thread useful in your workflow?

Any other comments or suggestions you may have.

Thank you in advance for your time and for helping us make TeamDesk better.

Good to get this opportunity to provide feedback on this functionality. Some 'honest' answers below:
* It hasn't been particularly useful so far, simply because as a frequent designer of Views, Reports and Charts, I didn't feel the need to use such tool: it was faster to design the views myself.
* I think this functionality would be extremely useful for end users. But the problem is that we are very reluctant to give full access to Setup to all users (even to a small select number of users).
* Because of point above, what we really need is 'partial' access to Setup: primarily configuring Views and Documents. Some users are capable of configuring Views (and of creating and managing Documents, designing the templates in MS-Word), but we don't have the option of giving them access to only Views & Documents: it's full access to all design aspects of Setup or nothing (apart from User & Data Management, of course).
* Access to Setup should be done by User, not by Role. Many users for a specific Role are not interested in configuring Setup, but a few need to be: to help those with the same Role.
* I don't understand this question:
Is the "Copy" button in the discussion thread useful in your workflow?
What discussion thread???

I hope this helps,
Luison

I asked a question where it would need to view an existing relation, interpret the loose detail, and feed back of list based on relationships. It Did not work. I consider the question one where I pushed any capability. Maybe someday.

Hi,
DBFlex user here.
All my clients are waiting for it to be available for them (I actually was trying to do it externally) . On my tests I found the following points to be considered:

* I found it really really useful for the end users.
* Sometimes the AI doesn't fully understand the meaning of the columns because the column name is very short and because of that sometimes it takes wrong columns to work. It would be great that the AI could read the column notes in order to concretize and be sure of the meaning of the columns.
* I think it would be more flexible if the access is given by user (not by role), specially if you are planning to ask for any charge for it.
* I understand the copy button you mention is the one downside the AI thread. I found it very useful, but I missed a button in the corner of the tables and charts AI generates, so I can copy only them.

Thank you very much for this great functionality. I think it will expand the final users posibilities.

@All We plan to allow administrators to provide additional custom instructions for AI at the database level and for particular tables, so the AI will be more aware of your business, typical queries, and the answers you expect. We believe this will improve response quality because the AI will not need to reinvent the knowledge about your specific database.

@Luison We are still considering the Additional User Setup Permissions idea and will keep you informed. The "Copy" button at the bottom of the AI response allows you to easily copy it to the clipboard, including styling and the chart image.

@Ignacio We are considering additional "Copy" options as well.

Thank you for your feedback!

@All AI data analysis in TeamDesk continues to evolve.

You can now:

• Provide feedback on AI responses
• Add table-specific instructions to guide analysis

This allows AI to learn your business logic and deliver more accurate, predictable insights — without repeating rules in every question.

Thank you very much! This is great. We'll try it.

Do you have any timeline for when it would be available for regular users?

Thank you very much in advance!

@All We plan to make it available for regular users after the New Year, in January.

Hi,

Any new regarding IA analysis available for regular users?

Thank you in advance.
Slava Shinderov  Staff  3/3/2026 10:01:16 AM
@All We are currently in the process of migrating from gpt-4o, which will be retired on March 31, 2026, to the latest OpenAI gpt-5.2 model.
We plan to complete the migration soon and make Data Analysis available to regular users as well, providing a better experience by utilizing the latest AI model.
In the meantime, our Help Assistant has already been migrated to the gpt-5.2 model, so you can feel the difference:
