Allow Rules or Filters for Add Similar Button
Love the add similar button, but it can cause some problems in my database.

Example would be

I manage work orders in my system, and as the work orders complete i have many triggers that modify fields in the work order depending on what and how things are done.

My sales reps(i know they always are causing issues) use the add similar when they have multiple serialized pieces of equipment going to the same company location. Problem is rather than creating a new pickup they simply go in and click add similar and change to pickup. problem is all of my backend triggers have already run and it copies those columns as well and that causes all kinds of issues.

I know i could create a new button with a custom url to create duplicate work orders, but it would be even easier if i was able to restrict add similar only to a certain records based on a filter.

@Mike please consider unchecking "Allow add similar" option for columns you don't need to copy value during "Add Similar".

Hi Slava

I think that only solves half of Mike's problem. I have also occasionally had circumstances where I would like to be able to be smarter about when the Add Similar button is available. I think Mike's suggestion about filters etc is a good one.

Also, and I think this has been raised before, it would be nice if Add Similar could be a button in Views.

So basically it would be nice if Add Similar could be managed like all other Buttons.

@All please consider using custom button with linked Navigate action:

Thanks for that Slava. I keep forgetting about the new Navigate action
