Show number of records related next to each table tab when viewing a record
When viewing a record, one sees at the bottom all related tables with entries under each of entries related to the entry one is viewing. One must click on the tabs of the respectively related tables in order to view whether there are any related records associated. This is not efficient. Each tab should reflect the number of records under it If zero, then display "0" so I don't have to waste time checking each related table. Practical example for me is I want to know if I have any documents related to a matter just by viewing the Matter record. As things are now, I have to open the matter then open the related document table at the bottom of record to determine if any documents exist.

@Dean please consider creating a summary column in the matter table to calculate number of related documents:
https://www.teamdesk.net/help/4.6.20.aspx#number_of_records
After that, you'll be able to to determine if any documents exist without even open the matter.

Hello Dean,
It's a good idea you have here and I could definitely see value in it.

To solve your problem with # of Document records whilst viewing the Matter record, you could create a Summary column (in the Table management area: Matter <-> Documents) showing "# Records"...
You can also bring that column through to a view as well, saving the time having to view the record.

basenine, was that last comment meant for this inquiry? I don't get it. Please explain. Thanks

It sure was. If you've ever watched "Get Smart", it'd make more sense.

I posted my response, whilst Slava was posting his...he saved his first...
