Can not make column unique because it contains duplicate values

I'm trying to make column unique, however I get this error: "Can not make column unique because it contains duplicate values"
Answer
Check whether different records contain the same data in the column you are trying to edit. Edit the records, making all values in the column unique.
If you do not see duplicate values in the "views", try to empty table's Recycle Bin. Select all records by clicking check box on the table header, and press the "Delete" button.
