Better Managed Workflow Buttons
Created workflow buttons are handy but can get lost in either the Viewed record - along with the "Edit", "Add Similar" and "Delete" buttons - A list of extra buttons in this row might be "Accept Quote","Decline Quote", "Create Production", "Email Quote".
Even in the Multi Action section, we have had on some occasions 10 buttons in the row above a related view (We consolidated how we did things to improve this).
I'd propose two things:
Firstly - the generic/default TD buttons would be better if they were all the same size - more like a navigation menu
Secondly - a separate are for Custom Buttons - again..all the same size Nav style.

Thoughts and ideas?

Being able to color code these buttons like tabs may be beneficial

How about also allowing Icons for the bottons with an explanation as a hover text.

With the icons, to keep with continuity, a criterion for size should be established.
We could either create and upload our own...or pick from a community developed list.

I also personally like the bootstrap style buttons.

I'd also like to be able to locate these anywhere in the record.

"bootstrap style buttons" are in fact True Type Font, this is the only way to make them work across all browsers. Yet creating own font properly is not an easy task. On other hand, bitmap icons do not scale well on retina devices when font scales up.

To me some sort of "quick and dirty" solution would be to display few button actions in a row and hide the others under More.. button with dropdown menu?

In general my users don't like the More funtionality. For example in the details Tabs (initself a great addition) they would much rather see a few rows of Tabs rather than just the first few Tabs and then the More Tab. Building on that, I don't think the More Button is going to be very popular.

I'd be happy with the more drop down menu.
