For years I've been avoiding this, but now have the regular need for standard deviation functionality in our civil engineering reports. Doing a side table in excel is a waste of time (and wouldn't be necessary if this existed). I'm sure the business folk probably could use it from time to time as well... It makes your reports real legit too. Anybody else?

Definitely - great for comparison reports.
These graphs are a must for Educational Institutions too - for some reason, they love them!

At the moment I'm manipulating data using a third party web service... works ok but brings up security risks and attentions within the page

@Blake, can you provide some real-life example(s) of possible "Standard Deviation" and/or "Median" usage.

* Standard Deviation
* Population Standard Deviation
* Variance
* Population Variance

You asked for an example of Median. I am calculating Mileage Rates which change once a certain threshold is reached. The formula in excel is:-

=[Miles]*[Below Threshold Rate]-MEDIAN(0,[Miles],[Running Mileage Total]-[Mileage Threshold])*([Below Threshold Rate]-[Above Threshold Rate])

@Scott please try following formula for calculating median of 3 numbers:

(n1 + n2 + n3) - min(n1, n2, n3) - max(n1, n2, n3)

I have managed to overcome this issue by using Integromat. I have calculated Mean, Margin of Error, XIRR and many over weird and wonderful calculations.

You need to create a Webhook in Integromat and pass the data to a Google Sheets Module. You can actually pass the calculation into the Google Sheet '=Median(1. DATA)' where [Data] in this example is a summary column of all the scores (concatenated) . You theN use the HTTP Module to POST back to TD
