Please allow Parameters in Button Assignments. When the user clicks the button, another page comes up with a list of Parameters like an Ask the User filter. These parameters could then be used as temporary variables in the Assignments section.

@Shem The "Columns" property of custom button allows you to ask for user input.

Thank you Slava, I overlooked that function. The process is not quite as simple internally as I had hoped, but it is good from the user usability standpoint.
