Ability to Delete many Columns from a Table at once
I just imported 30 columns into the wrong Table (I know - dumb!!). Would be nice to tick all the columns needing to be deleted and then multi delete them!

May me you mean Records?
It is possible via using Custom Rules (but they are not accessible for users).

It would be also nice to be able to do some basic actions on group of selected records, like update or hide/show record in addition to deletion.

No - When you set up a table, you can import a csv with row headers that create the column names. I imported 30 into the wrong table...

Whatever about the columns, I would like to be able to delete multiple rows. How do I do that?

You might need a new thread for this one.....but....export the table, highlight the rows you need deleted, press delete....

save....import back to team desk....

done

What do you mean "**highlight** the rows you need deleted?"
basenine 12/10/2009 4:08:46 PM
export the table as .csv.....open with excel.....highlight the rows

Now I understand. You forgot to mention "delete data"
...export the table, **delete data from table**, highlight the rows you need deleted, press delete....
save....import back
It is possible when you have few records.
In case a big database (many records + many relations) it will work slowly.

Sure that works as a work around if you are a technical user with import and export access. If you are just a "normal" user this is no good.

The discussion here regarding deleting multiple **rows/records** at once should be addressed under [Idea: Ability to override standard and define custom record actions](https://www.teamdesk.net/secure/db/4263/preview.aspx?t=7948&id=102).

Also, the suggestion of exporting data to a spreadsheet, removing unwanted data, and reimporting is not practical when dealing with thousands of records since reimporting can take literally days worth of work.
