Scan Document Directly Into Teamdesk
This might be beyond what's possible but it sure would be nice if teamdesk could integrate with a scanner so that a document could be directly scanned and uploaded. Right now, we scan the document, name it, save it, then open a new record in teamdesk, name it, upload and save it. It would eliminate at least half the steps if we could directly open a new record in teamdesk, name it, hit a button and have the document scanned and saved in teamdesk with an auto file name.

Is anyone else doing a lot of document storage in teamdesk directly from a scannder? Any alternative ideas for maximizing efficiency would be appreciated.

Sorry, didn't actually mean to promote this idea, but I don't see how to undo that click.

In instances where goods are supplied it would be handy to be able to upload a proof of delivery and link this to the original record in Teamdesk. With many records current use in Teamdesk would be to cumbersome so there would have to be some automated process from MFP

or scanner with perhaps the use of barcode recognition etc

Maybe the ability to import PDF files to File attachment columns can resolve this issue? I use Fijitsu ScanSnap to scan receipts. I can import the data from ScanSnap to TeamDesk, but have to upload each receipt file manually, which takes time

We do the following which works with documents which originate from TD with a bar-code or another source with a bar-code in the same position on each document

- Scan pack of documents of same source i.e. Delivery Notes to a file server
- A simple piece of software separates the documents on the file server using the bar-codes and then
e- mails them to TD mailbox with up to four individual documents as pdf attachments.
- TD then auto files these by the "subject" and pdf ref: no. which marries to a ref: no. in the applicable data base using workflow triggers

I like the the idea of direct scanning into TD. I upload lot of documents to TD. Currently I scan them and save it locally and upload using REST API calls.
