display input controls on a dashboard
I have a specific search view with mostly <ask user> for my input controls. However if I make that view my "dashboard view" it shows up blank because no inputs have been placed. I'm wanting the same look as if I bring up that view as my main page asking me for all the inputs. Can this be accomplished?

When I open a new tab, the default view for that table appears. Where that tab is a filter which includes ASK THE USER fields, the view is displayed without the filter fields. When I later select that view, then those fields are included. Can these fields be included when the tab is first selected?

Merged with:

Views with <ask a user> options now display input controls on Dashboard page.

Wow, Slava, thanks for the quick work!

This is great. As always when you give something we want more. A few things worth considering
- default values in the search field
- "remember" the last entries made by the user and override the defaults
- option to execute on first display using those defaults
- pull down boxes where relevant to the underlying field

Is it possible to get the query input controls simple or Dropdown with 'Browse Choices' option?
